Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1Bagdogra to Phuentsholing

Pick-up at Bagdogra/NJP and drive to the border town of Phuentsholing.

Day 2Permits and drive to Thimphu

Complete entry formalities and drive to Thimphu.

Day 3Punakha day trip

Cross Dochula to Punakha Dzong, Chimi Lhakhang and the long suspension bridge.

Day 4Thimphu to Paro

Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang and the Takin preserve, then drive to Paro.

Day 5Tiger’s Nest

Hike to Taktsang Monastery (about 5 hours round trip).

Day 6Paro to Phuentsholing via Chele La

Drive over Chele La for Himalayan views and down to Phuentsholing.

Day 7Depart

Transfer to Bagdogra/NJP.
