Day 1Arrive Bagdogra, drive to Gangtok

Pick-up at Bagdogra or NJP and drive along the Teesta to Gangtok.

Day 2Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir

Day trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir; Nathu La when permits allow.

Day 3Gangtok to Lachen

Drive north past waterfalls and Chungthang to Lachen.

Day 4Gurudongmar and on to Lachung

Pre-dawn start for Gurudongmar Lake, then drive to Lachung.

Day 5Yumthang Valley

Visit Yumthang and the Shingba rhododendron sanctuary; Zero Point at extra cost.

Day 6Lachung to Gangtok

Return to Gangtok and spend the evening on MG Marg.

Day 7Gangtok to Darjeeling

Drive to Darjeeling via the tea gardens.

Day 8Darjeeling sightseeing

Tiger Hill sunrise, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, the Peace Pagoda, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Tibetan Refugee Centre.
